Want to know how to how to lose weight and gain muscle? I'll tell you what you shouldn't do-buy a bunch of expensive gym equipment or supplements.

You do NOT have to go broke to get ripped. Here are 3 simple tips to make it happen.

#1) Drink more water

What does this have to do with getting ripped? EVERYTHING--water helps speed up the digestive system-and the smoother this is running, the less body fat you will have.

Why?

Because when the digestive system gets bogged down digesting foods, it has nowhere to put the excess but on the surface-which becomes body fat.

So when you consume more water AND eat more high water content foods like fruit, you are making it easier on your digestive system. This in turn reduces your fat percentage.

#2) Focus on type 2 fibers

These are the ones that have the most capacity for muscle growth and power. Many unknowingly focus on type 1 because they extend their sets TOO LONG.

This is the WORST mistake you can make

NEVER have your sets go beyond 10 reps-nobody can maintain top performance for longer than this.

High intensity workouts are the only way to workout your type 2 muscles-anything less than 100% is only targeting type 1. I can't stress that enough.

#3) Lift heavy weights

This is the only way to add mass--lifting feather weights do NOTHING for your physique.

#4) Rest LESS

A common bodybuilding myth is that long rests between sets will increase your power.

But Power=force*velocity

While long rests might allow you to increase your force, they do nothing for your velocity.

The only way to increase both is to increase the weight lifted AND reduce the total rest time. This is how to lose weight and gain muscle FAST.
