If you want to gain muscle, you have to do innumerable reps, eat like there will be no tomorrow and exert to lift weights even beyond your capacity, right? WRONG! Forget about gaining muscle, it could leave you with layers of fat, overweight and far away from the ripped shape you hope to get into. These are certainly not the best ways to gain muscle.
On the other hand, if you are armed with a regime that is ably worked out by an expert and follow it with discipline, you are closer to gain muscle mass in a short duration of time. Besides exercise, your plan must also define how much and what you are going to eat to meet your target of gaining muscle mass, neither more than how much you want nor less.
Also, the target of gaining muscle has to be time-bound and you must know how much exactly you intend or plan to gain every week and then exercise and eat accordingly.
Besides the diet plan and regime of exercises your coach gives you, be ready with a checklist made by you and keep referring to it. Ask yourself the following questions:-
Am I chasing the target with dedication?
Results don't appear overnight. Don't get desperate, switching over from one program to another.
Am I following the right technique?
Doing it the wrong way could even cause injuries that might put you off training for some time at the end of which you may be too disillusioned to resume! Take care.
Am I eating right?
Strike the right balance with consuming a diet comprising 45% carbohydrate, 35% protein and 20% fat. Am I too fast...or too slow?
Don't overdo it and let results show with a consistent regime over a targeted period of time. This way, you have everything worked out!
